2021-2022
EBONYI LITERACY PROJECT
The Ebonyi Literacy Project represents a beacon of hope in addressing the educational crisis facing rural communities in Ebonyi State. With 1,500 children out of school statewide and 60% of rural primary school graduates lacking basic literacy skills, our initiative has stepped forward to create meaningful change at the grassroots level. Working in partnership with Achara Community Primary School, we have demonstrated that with dedicated community support and strategic intervention, transformative educational outcomes are not only possible; they are achievable.
2022-2023
EBONYI LITERACY PROJECT
The Ebonyi literacy project (ELP) represents our unwavering belief that transformative change is not only possible but inevitable when communities and young people become true partners in education. This comprehensive annual report details our measurable impact during the 2022/2023 academic year at Achara Community Primary School in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. Through community-driven solutions and practical interventions, we have demonstrated that even the most underserved educational environments can flourish when provided with targeted, accountable support. Our work with 67 primary one students reveals both the challenges we face and the remarkable progress achievable through collaborative effort.

Our work with 50 primary one students reveals both the challenges we face and the remarkable progress achievable through collaborative effort, a testament to the power of community partnership in creating lasting educational change.
2023-2024
Earth Day Global Fundraiser
The Ebonyi Literacy Project (ELP), implemented by the Youths for Rural Education
and Job Creation Initiative, represents a transformative community-driven
literacy intervention designed to enhance early-grade reading and numeracy
skills among children at Achara Community Primary School (ACPS), Ebonyi State,
Nigeria. Between September 2024 and July 2025, the ELP focused on
strengthening literacy capacity among Primary One pupils, training and engaging
community volunteers, and enhancing access to learning aids, teaching materials,
and digital tools. The project also maintained its mobile library, introduced in
2022, which continues to support reading culture and resource accessibility.
