As school children started a new academic session, Y4Red Initiative continues its monthly commitment to supporting two children on scholarship for the past two years. These children, Confidence and Obasinachi, had previously dropped out of school due to hardship and crises in their communities in 2022.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we have been able to cover their yearly school fees and provide essential items such as writing materials, school shoes, uniforms, and hygiene products. Additionally, we give allowances for their feeding and snacks while at school.
According to our project assistant, “Confidence and Obasinachi are thriving, steadily adjusting to their new environment and the school system.”
Obasinachi, now in Primary 1, was in Nursery 2 when we first enrolled him. Initially reserved and struggling to express himself, Obasinachi has shown remarkable improvement over the two sessions. His progress report has greatly improved, and he is performing well for his age and class. We are optimistic about his continuous growth.
Confidence, currently in Primary 4, is smart, sociable, and articulate, with outstanding verbal skills. Her reading and comprehension abilities have significantly improved as well.
We are thrilled to see both children continue to socialize with their peers, grow academically, and flourish personally.
